WiFi:

For Red Prairie (Retek) to run smoothly it must be connected to a strong WiFi signal. Without this signal, no one can fulfill orders or manage inventory. To improve this crucial signal, a WiFi extender should be installed within each Distribution Center.

Technical Support:

A delay is often experienced between the time the IS, Red Prairie (Retek), goes down and the issue is resolved. This time delay stems from the fact that the Red Prairie IT Team is located in the state of Minnesota. Should a Best Buy warehouse worker or manager encounter a problem, which is unresolvable, headquarters must be contacted. The resulting time delay can lead to a loss in efficiency and profit. In order to shorten this delay, Best Buy should hire a technical assistant within each DDC. Doing so would not only increase efficiency, but also allow the Distribution Center to process more products in less time.

Mobility:

As of right now, Red Prairie (Retek) can only be accessed via a desktop computer, laptop, and/or RF scanner. Increasing the mobility of this application, i.e. allowing employees to access the IS via a smartphone or tablet, could benefit everyone. Additional improvements need to be made to the aesthetics of Red Prairie. In the process of updating this application, so that it can run on a mobile device, creators would have the opportunity to make the app more aesthetically pleasing and easier to use.
