Introduction

History

Richard M. Schulze founded Best Buy in 1966, in the state of Minnesota, as a simple stereo music focused store. The company quickly grew through the years, in 1987 landing a listing on the NYSE and 12 years later surpassing the 10 billion-revenue mark. Best Buy has seen a great amount of success by expanding the variety of products in which the company sells, changing the company strategy, and redefining their information systems all for the better of their customers.

Purpose

The purpose of this blog is to breakdown an existing information system utilized by Best Buy. This breakdown will function as a platform, allowing our team to identify various strengths and weaknesses of said information system and how they impact the company's strategy. In a later tab, our team will provide recommendations. Each recommendation will touch on an aspect of the above mentioned information system and how it can be enhanced so that Best Buy may maximize their strategy.
